Dear Friends of the Caverns,
It’s been a wonderful fall! After devastating floods this past summer I’m very pleased to see how well Supai, including the Havasupai falls, hiking trails, and campground, have bounced back. This is truly an amazing place, and this month’s Caverns Newsletter discusses ways to help you enjoy this adventure of a life time!
Sincerely,
John McEnulty

FALL HIKING |
We say it every year, this is the best time to hike Supai! No bugs, fewer people, cool temperatures. Hiking Supai requires an overnight reservation (day trips are not allowed), and the reservations fills up many months in advance. Luckily, there are always cancellations. Follow our link to contact Supai directly about reservations and cancellations. |

WINTER IN SUPAI |
We strongly recommend Supai in December. The trees are finally in full fall colors at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, and it’s a glorious sight! Call the Supai Lodge directly for pre-holiday rooms, and if they are fully booked on your dates, have them tell you when there are openings. Plan a trip around this amazing chance to hike Supai and the Grand Canyon in December! |

SPRING AT SUPAI |
Feb 1st, 2019 is the key date for Supai camping and lodge reservations. An overnight Supai reservation is required to hike into the canyon. Make your reservation with them first and then make your reservations with the Grand Canyon Caverns. It’s highly recommended you stay the first night at the Caverns, wake up early and enjoy our free breakfast before hiking 8+ miles into the canyon and visiting the falls. |

FALL AND WINTER AT CAVERNS |
The Caverns are the perfect spot to visit on a wet or cold day since it’s always dry and feels like 72 degrees down in the caves. When you are above ground, we have the wood stove going and delicious hot food being served. The Grand Canyon Caverns is completely open all winter, including the RV Park and Campground (Restrooms and showers for ‘RVers’ and campers may be moved to the motel or Caverns building during extended periods of cold).
