July 2016 Grand Canyon Caverns Newsletter
Dear Friends of the Caverns,
This 4th of July got me thinking about history and how things have changed so much. Yet, there still exists isolated pockets where time hasn’t moved as fast. Here in Northern Arizona glimpses of the ‘old west’ can still be found – whether it’s a journey along historic RT66, a classic train ride to Grand Canyon’s South Rim, experiencing the culture of the Navajo Nation, acting like a cowboy on an overnight horseback adventure, sleeping under an amazing, pollution-free, star filled night sky, or getting dusty and dirty crawling over rocks and spelunking through newly discovered caves. When the modern grind has got you beaten down, come out this way and take a step back in time, where things can be a little slower, and the ‘old west’ still exists!
