  • NEW RESTAURANT BILLBOARD AT FRONT ENTRY

A new lighted billboard has been installed at the front entry to celebrate the Grand Canyon Cavern’s restaurant offering a brand new dinner menu – every day, all year long! April 1st will be the debut of the new menu – featuring charbroiled dinner entrees, available from 5pm until closing. All dinner entrees will feature exclusive sides and options. Guests will be able to chose from either our popular all-day menu, or the tasty new dinner menu, after 5pm. This new menu should appear on our website and on Facebook in February.

  • ONE-OF-A-KIND GEMS AND GIFTS

The Havasupai Gift Shop, located in the front motel building, continues to add new and unique products, many that can only be found locally. As we continue to search for products exclusive to the GCC or distinct to the Grand Canyon area, we are finding and adding something new almost every week! The gift shops of the Grand Canyon Caverns are especially proud of our growing line of “gems”, including petrified wood from GCC area that is beautifully unique. But in many cases the supply of these distinctive items is very limited and we quickly sell out, so make sure to stop by the Havasupai Gift Shop, the Cavern’s Curio Shop, and the Motel C-Store on your next visit to see what we have.

  • LODGING UPDATES

As we continue to renovate the motel and other buildings to maintain the classic Route 66 look and feel, we have also been working hard to ensure all the lodging options are fresh and modern on the inside. On the outside, the target year of 1964 and the paint scheme from 1978 are being used to pay homage to our roots. On the inside, we are all about the modern comforts such as larger beds and flat screen TVs with cable. New entertainment devices such as big screen TVs, Bose sound bars, and Blue Ray players were recently added to the Cavern Suite and Ranch House. The Ranchhouse’s long anticipated second full bathroom will be finished by summer. The RV Park and Campground look amazing and remain open throughout the winter. On April 1st, after we’re sure the pipes won’t freeze, the RV Park and Campground’s fabulous private bathrooms with showers will re-open. Until then, room #1 of the motel fills in as the nicest campground “shower house” anywhere!

Last year lodging bookings were up 30% with many complete sellouts. Bookings are beginning for 2017. We are proud to have the same rates every day of the year, a good value with no gouging. There is only one Cavern Suite and the Ranch House has been a hot rental for large families and groups, so book soon to avoid disappointment!

  • ANTARES

If you haven’t heard or seen the pictures, a new visitor’s center on Route 66 – at Antares Road, Mile Marker 75 – recently opened and is operated by the Grand Canyon Caverns. The center contains Route 66 and area information, a small Gift Shop, Convenience Store, and Art Gallery. We will continue to grow the number of products offered and items for sale as Spring & Summer approach. Be sure to stop by, give us some feedback, and enjoy the sensational views looking north to the back side of Lake Mead.
